Crafty Goodness

These are my efforts for the weekend. Some Ipod cosies for my partner and a friend. I made up the pattern (if you can call it that) myself. Just measured up the Ipods and croched up a strip wide enough and long enough to be sewn into a double compartment for the Ipod and head phones. I very pleased with myself.

I am also pleased with myself about something else. I have decided not to go ahead with having a market stall in May.

I am enjoying my crafty journey so much at the moment. I feel really creative and inspired, and have a million ideas and projects that I want to try. One day I definitely want to make a career out of being a art/crafts woman and for the first time I see that it is possible.

However, having realised all this I also realise that I don't have to rush. And I have been rushing. Putting lots of pressure on myself to get it all moving straight away. Listening to well intentioned friends telling me I should be selling my stuff. The end result was that I didn't really want to do anything creative at all. It all felt like such a chore.

So, no more rushing. I am going to enjoy this time for me because it feels like such a gift to have the time and space to be crafty and creative. I know that the rest will happen exactly as it is meant to happen.

these are really cute! and it's great to hear you so inspired!!

(have been meaning to let you know that I won't play this time with the 6 things... I got tagged not so long ago, so I don't want to bore the pants off everyone by doing it again- hope you don't mind... but thanks for thinking of me!) :o)

Yay to you for making that decision. I've also had people telling me that I should sell stuff but then the craft becomes a job rather than being a bit if fun. I'd much rather have no deadlines and just give things away for a bit of fun.
Cool cosies by the way...perfect to keep your ipod warm in winter!

Those are so cute. I really like the colours you have used. And of course the buttons. :)

Wise move...when what you love doing becomes a chore, something needs to give/change.

Glad to see those little Ipods won't be cold this fall...LOL

Great idea! My 11 year old daughter is a beginner knitter and this would be the prefect project because it wouldn't take her too long to finish (she is losing interest in her scarf as it is taking too long...) Lisa
