I haven't joined in This Is... for many, many months. However, Handmaiden's theme this week is a goodie so I decided to post.
This Is...My Favourite Kitchen Tool...
I love Moroccan food and cooking in a tagine is an absolute pleasure. However, if you don't have a tagine don't be scared to give Moroccan food a go. I've found it easy to prepare, easy to cook and very easy to eat.
Ms L also gets a mention as a favourite kitchen tool (well not a tool, she wouldn't like that). She bakes means treats. Can't go past her chocolate chip cookies.
Thanks to Three Buttons for hosting This Is. Pop over there if you want to join the fun.
Speaking of fun, I am still completely amazed by the response to Blogtoberfest. It's incredible. It feels a little bit like 'if you build it, they will come'. Each time I turn on the computer there are more fine folk wanting to join the festivities. I'll keep adding your names to the list. Somehow though I don't think I'm going to get around to everyone's place for a cup of coffee this weekend. I'm feeling a bit cross eyed today after hours on the computer Friday and Saturday night and in the interests of maintaining some semblance of balance and order in my life I think I have to approach this festival as a marathon rather than a sprint.
So sign up for the giveaway by the end of the day if you haven't already. Oh, and if you need the BLOGTOBERFEST button for a black background or some other non-white background flossy-p has done an update here. I'll see you tomorrow.

Baked treats? Moroccan food? Girls, I'm coming over for a visit!
Oh yes Cath, I love cooking middle eastern food and have a tagine, have only used it in the oven, never on the stove top though
Tagines - yum! I have a very similar one. They're brilliant.
Maybe you should let us know what your favourite Morroccan recipe is so we can try it? MMMMmmmm chocolate cookies...............
I can vouch for those choc chip cookies...delish!
oh I love Moroccan food and I love cooking it. I am still very sad that I split my tagine by doing God only knows what wrong with it. They are such beautiful items, aren't they?
Im showing as an asterix on your blogtoberfest list? Can we fix it somehow? Sorry Im still a novice....
Thanks,
Sel
I've had some of L's chokky chip cookies and can vouch that they are amazing !! Ten thumbs up from me !!
ohhh i want a tangine too...love Morrocan and middle eastern flavours! yummo!
The tagine is definitely the exotic cousin of the kitchen tool family. Yum.
I'm laughing thinking of you sitting there cross-eyed, trying to get through all the blogs! You go girl!! I'm totally impressed!
A tagine. You know, I've often wanted to get one of those........Do they come with recipe books? I love Moroccan food.
Mmm, choc chip cookies... My hand-held mixer is my fave too - best thing since the old Sunbeam stand mixer of the 60s. Loving Blogtoberfest - if you build it we WILL come - you are so much nicer than Kevin Costner though ;-)
i've never owned a tagine, but love Middle Eastern food and flavours!
then again, i love food, full stop.
Love Moroccan food! Big Congrats on the Blogtoberfest success - look at that list that just grows and grows!
YYYuuuuummmmmmmm! Moroccan!
I've never used a tagine...come to think of it, I never actually thought of it as anything other than a fancy serving dish. Hmm..a little education is in order, methinks, pronto.
And I'm happy to report I HAVE been to each and every blog on the list...minus the current new batch...which I am about to do right now. :p And I have them all in my sidebar now. :D (Of course, now my bum is sore from extensive sitting on it all weekend, lol)
