BLOGTOBERFEST - Day 17 - Love Fridays

I hope you didn't think I wasn't coming. Today I'm Loving Fridays in an everyday kind of way. The simple things in life are keeping me happy.

A cup of coffee or two.

Some gorgeous washing airing on the line.

Drewzel's declared it BLOGTOBERFEST Fav Friday. Tell everyone about one of your favourite songs ever. Mine would have to be 'Born To Be Alive' by Patrick Hernandez. I've loved it ever since I used to roller-skate to it when I was 12.

Now I think it's time for my weekly BLOGTOBERFEST giveaway. I've decided to so something a little different this week.

I'm going to do a personalised collage for someone. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and include a single word that you would like as the theme for your collage. If you are the winner then I'll make something for you based on your theme word. Make sense? I thought so.

Seeing as this is an extra special giveaway I'll run it for a little bit longer. You have until next Thursday at noon to leave your comment.

Something special is happening tomorrow in our house that I'm really looking forward to. You'll have to pop in and see what it is.

Oooh rollerskating ~ is that the old fashioned roller skating or roller blading??? I learnt to skate on the old skates, but by the time I went 'skating' it was actually known as 'blading' Aaaah, gotta love the changes!

One word... carrose (cause I need something cool for my blog header & my hubby won't get off his butt & design me something :)

Hi, what a great giveaway idea, you should get award just for that!

My favorite song would have to be I Will by the Beatles. You can't rollerskate to it but it makes a mighty fine lullabye, I sing it to my daughter everynight.

My word of the week is wisdom.

Oh! Born to Be Alive is a perfect rollerskating song! I spent a great many days of my childhood at the UFO Roller Disco in Mornington with my cousing and sister, and there are several songs that take me straight back there. The UFO Roller Disco was all space-agey and futuristic, with big silver 70s/early-80's computer style font for all the signs. So funny.
We sometimes lined up in the middle of the rink to do the Nutbush.

Aha! my word is "sing" (which is a little more artistic than what my Bug says when I sing, which is 'noise";)

Great idea - my word is WORTH, as in worthy, as in you are worth it... A bit Louise Hay, but need reminders that I can invest in myself! Good luck everyone! x
