Love Fridays

I have been a passionate crafter for as long as I can remember. Some years ago however I lost interest in crafting. As you all know my passion has been thankfully reignited with gusto.

At lunch a couple of months ago one of my friends reminded me that years ago I gave her all my gran's old knitting stuff. She agreed to return them to me now that I am knitting and crocheting again.

Today I arrived home to a package. Knitting needles, a crochet hook and an old knitting gauge all belonging to my Grandma. My Gran was a huge part of my life and along with my Mum taught me everything I know about crafting. It is so lovely to have these things to connect me to my past.

Hope your Friday is fabulous and that you are gearing up for a great weekend. Love Fridays.

My crafting journey began with a very similar set of goodies - the old knitting gauge actually looks identical to the one my nanna gave me too!

There is something special about being able to create using the same tools as your grandmother. I have a treasured little pair of scissors that have my nan's name engraved on them. They're from her days as a Collins St seamstress and I love using them.

What great treasures. I was the proud inheritor of my grandmother's knitting and crochet tools.
