No Blogging Before Bedtime

Now that I am settling in to my new job I'm working on re-establishing some normal routines for the first time in almost a year. So the list of things to work on includes:
The last item on my list means no late night blogging during the week. It's kind of the same as eating late night sugar for me. I get all excited and wound up and I can't get off to sleep. I've also noticed that I seem to have strange dreams when I spend hours on the computer in the evenings. So, no blogging after 8.30pm on school nights is the new self-imposed guideline.

Except weekends! All bets are off on weekends. That's what moderation is all about isn't it? So Willow and I blogged our little hearts out last night. I hope it's not giving her strange dreams and trouble getting off to sleep. She was the one insisting on sitting on my lap.

I know what you mean - it can be hard to drag yourself away from the computer! Mine is in the kitchen so it is the first thing I turn on in the morning and the last thing at night. I need your self discipline :)

That's so cute! I usually have a blog cut off at about 9.30 and then watch tv for an hour before bed at 10.30...of course sometime the best laid plans never work!

I completely understand. I try and watch some brain-numbing tv before bedtime to get into sleep mode. Reality tv is great for turning off the brain!!

Yep - totally get it. I sometimes find I am so jittery after too much computer time. And especially at the end of the day when I'm tired anyway. Not conducive to a good night's sleep that's for sure. Matt and I both have to remind each other sometimes, as we'll both be sitting on the couch with our laptops on our laps - watching tv and tapping away at the same time. Not good. Sometimes we do the 'no computers and no tv' thing in the evenings, and we always think "we should do this more often"....but of course we forget until something reminds us again :P

All those litle pixels get in the way of a good night's sleep for sure. Dh and I will each often do one short email check, he more than me since his is work, before bed but then it's about 30+ min of quiet reading.

I try to read a book of something spiritual to go to sleep on good thoughts. Dh goes for humor and I often give him a shove for shaking the bed!! ;-)

Yep, I know exactly what you mean as well, it is rather difficult to get off to sleep right after blogging time...i should really get off the computer right now and 'wind down'!!!
