This is...My unconditional, passionately loved and favourite book

This is such a hard one. I love books. I always seem to be reading a million of them at any one time. I also love book shopping. In fact I don't even love to read as much as I just love to have books around me and to buy them. There is something magic about books.

So, one of my absolute all time favourite books that I refer to all the time and couldn't live without would have to be
Stephanie Alexander - A Cook's Companion.

As for novels
I couldn't narrow it down to one. But here are a few of my fav's:
  • In The City of Shy Hunters - Tom Spanbauer
  • The Time Travellers Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
  • Shantaram - Gregory David Roberts
  • Dirt Music - Tim Winton
  • Modoc - Ralph Helfer
  • The God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy

All of these stories captured my heart and my imagination. If you haven't read any of them I would suggest picking up a copy of each and every one. And besides, why not add more books to your collection.

I can't resist a cook book. And I agree, Modoc was a great read.
Great "This is" theme this week. I'm loving reading everyone's choices.
Thanks!

I don't know any of these books! That's a bad thing right? I should read them right away! I trust on your taste...

Have a lovely Sunday!

I so know what you mean about buying more than reading. I have a huge pile just waiting to be read, or used as is the case of my craft books.

After this week's This is... I have so many more books that I want to buy!

Thanks for the comments on my blog! Have fun with the tag and it's always great to find another Leunig fan ;)

I love cookbooks...esp if they have a story and not just recipes. And thank you for a new list to hit the library with...I love that!

Fortunately, I DID read one...The God of Small Things. ;-)

Cooking books are so great. You never know what you will find. My grandma gave me all her doubles and some of them are really old and have great ideas in them
