BLOGTOBERFEST - Day 6 - Everyone's A Winner Baby, That's No Lie

I turned Ms L into a random number generator (got her to pick a number between 1 and 53) and she came up with (drumroll).... commenter number 6, The Sum of Mum. You've won the book and collage. Email your details to me at cathkirwan(at)optusnet(dot)com(dot)au and I will get these goodies in the mail to you. Congratulations Karin. I hope you enjoy them.

Don't worry if you missed out this time cause there'll be a giveaway happening here every Friday. Not only that, the fabulous Ms Curlypops, queen of daily blogging, has agreed to become the festival giveaways correspondent. Visit her regularly to find out all the giveaway goss. If you're having a giveaway yourself you might want to let her know too so that she can spread the happy word. Thanks Curlypops. You rock!

Now if that isn't enough to satisfy your giveaway cravings I have another little treat for some festival goers. flossy-p and I have been working on some top secret festival business. May I present to you....the BLOGTOBERFEST spirit award.

BLOGTOBERFEST is all about putting ourselves out there, and letting our creative selves and dreams take flight. It's also about setting some goals or taking some steps that will help those dreams become a reality. Finally, it's about building a community of supportive people to share the journey.

So, I'm handing out some awards to a few lovely bloggers who I think have totally embraced the spirit of BLOGTOBERFEST.
I've asked my lovely new friend flossy-p to post another tutorial over at her place with the award button and code when she gets a chance. Pop over there ladies and pick up your award.

If you see someone who you think is full of festival spirit feel free to give them the award. Yes, that's right, anyone can hand out the award. I think that's the best way don't you?

Now don't worry if you don't see your name on the festival goers list on my side bar yet. I'll have it updated soon.

EDIT: I've updated the list now. So if you're names not on the list and you're festering you had better let me know.

You are so sweet. I was going to post about the crappy weather here but you have totally brightened up my day. Blogtoberfest has gotten the blog back in me :)

I like the idea of a festival instead of a "blog everyday" obligation. It gives the whole thing a party atmosphere and life is too short not to party.

Spent a few (or maybe more) enjoyable minutes reading your writing, and getting to know what a creative person you are. Thanks for hosting this little blogtoberfest.

I think I have kind of joined in (a few days late) without even realising it until I had ... lol
- I came in here to post to my blog ... 3rd day in a row, after 2 months of nothing and only 7 posts since the end of April ... and I kind of did my usual thing and got lost blog surfing and came across something about Blogtoberfest ... so I just had to come and look - LOL
I DO have a LOT of stuff I have been meaning to post to my blog, and was planning to try and have a bit of a catch up and post some more of it in the next week or 3 ... so maybe it was "meant to be" LOL
I will try and keep up for a while ... might not be every day (I do have family/other things to do) ... but I will see how many posts I can do this month ... I wonder if I can break my record ... probably not - I actually posted to my blog 20 times in the first month when I started blogging back in January 2005, but not all of the posts actually said much ...
(and there are still a few things I was thinking of putting on my blog then, that I still have not blogged about!)
